Wie Aeramobile berichtet, ist die Stern App weiterhin in Planung für das WeTab. Das Medienhaus Gruner + Jahr will an der Partnerschaft festhalten. Der Verlagsleiter Tobias Seikel erklärte dazu:
„Unsere Zusammenarbeit mit Neofonie besteht auf Seiten der Software, nicht der Hardware.“
Die Kooperation mit G+J und Neofonie liegt also vorrangig bei der Stern App und diese auf dem WeTab zu realisieren. Das Magazin soll dank der offenen Plattform WeMagazine zukünftig auch auf anderen Tablets oder Geräten gelesen werden können.
Zunächst mal bleibt positiv festzuhalten, dass es auch mindestens einen Verlag gibt, der bereit ist das WeTab weiter zu unterstützen. Hoffentlich gesellen sich bald mehrere dazu.
Neofonie streckt Ihre Fühler in alle Richtungen aus und versucht seine Produkte in das WeTab einzubauen. Es bleibt die Frage bestehen, wie offen dieses System noch sein kann, wenn die Verlage auf WeMagazine angewiesen sind um Ihre Apps oder Magazine/Zeitschriften auf einen Tablet PC zu bringen. The cooperation with G + J and neofonie is therefore a priority for the „Stern App“ and to realize the WePad. The magazine will in future thanks to the open platform WeMagazine also be read on other tablets or devices.
First off is positive to note that it also is at least one publisher who is willing to support the WePad further. Hopefully, soon joined by a number of them.
Neofonie stretches out your feelers in all directions and tries to install its products in the WePad. There remains the question of how open the system still can be if the publishers are dependent on WeMagazine to bring your Apps or magazines / periodicals on a Tablet PC.
