Kurze News vom Wochenende:

1. Asus hat ein Tablet angekündigt. Wie soll es wohl heißen? -> Natürlich EeePad. Das Gerät soll Ende Juli auf den Markt kommen und ca. 500 $ kosten. Es soll auf Android Basis laufen und Flash unterstützen, sowie einen USB Anschluss haben. Für 2010 ist noch eine Stückzahl von 300.000 Stk geplant. Es wird also kaum an den Erfolg des iPad anknöpfen können. Das Gerät wird im Juni auf der Computex vorgestellt. Dann gibt es bestimmt auch erste Bilder. Warten wir ab.
2. Auf Facebook ist gestern eines neues Tablet gesichtet worden. Da versucht anscheinend jemand auf das gleichen Marketing zu setzen wie Neofonie. Es soll TagoPad heißen. Der Besitzer hat schon ein paar Fotos eingestellt. Wenn man dem ganzen glauben schenken kann soll das Gerät folgende Ausstattung haben:-10,1″ TFT 1024×600 WXGA , 160GB SATA HDD, unterstützt bis zu 250 GB, Intel® Atom N450 1.66GHz, 1GB DDRII RAM, 1,3 MP Webcam, Multitouch, Windows 7, HDMI, 3* USB 2.0, SD/MMC KartenleserDas Gerät soll 299,00 € kosten. Das wäre momentan ein schnäppchen, für alle die sich die Zeit bis zum Launch des WePad´s die Zeit vertreiben wollen.Ich kann an das Gerät nicht so ganz glauben; sieht es doch aus wie ein vergrößertes iPhone (selbst der Mikrofon Schlitz ist noch da). Ich werde es weiter beobachten. Wie es der Zufall will habe ich bei Ebay ein ähnliches Gerät gefunden, dass dort bereits verkauft wird. Allerdings für einen höheren Preis.

Warum muss eigentlich jeder Hersteller sein Gerät mit der Endung „Pad“ nennen? Kann man sich nicht mal was schickeres einfallen lassen? Vielleicht nicht gerade JooJoo, dass postwendend wie ein Jojo wieder vom Markt geflogen ist. (Oder hat irgendwer noch etwas nennenswertes dazu gehört oder gelesen?)
